Meet Ashlee. She just barely hits 5 ft on the height chart. She has a brilliant smile and a fun sassy attitude. We had some fun around Lake Alice and then went over to the fountain in front of the Phillips Center for this shoot. I have another shoot that I will share in coming weeks with her. She is a great model and a pleasure to be around.

Ashlee // Gainesville Senior Portrait Photography
I really love being a photographer. I hope that's obvious to you through my work and the experience you have when we have a portrait session together. Senior photography resides in a special place in my photographer's brain. I love how they know exactly, for the most part, what they want in their pictures. I love that they are willing to experiment with locations and shots. I really love getting to see the child and the adult in them at the same time through my lens. It's such a neat experience.

Photography Workshop and Model Session // Gainesville Lifestyle Photographer
Last month I attended my first photography workshop. It was held at the Historic Dudley Farms in Newberry. There were three instructors: one each for families, seniors, and wedding portrait photography. There were quite a few participants and it was really great to get to meet other local photographers from the Gainesville area. Not all were professional photogs and that was cool too.
I had a great time and feel that I learned so much even with just one workshop. I believe in being lifetime students and learning all you can to be the best at what you are called to do in your life. I definitely plan on attending other workshops in the future to help hone my skills as a lifestyle photographer.
Dudley Farms is absolutely beautiful and set up in original rustic fashion. You can take tours during the week and the workers are dressed in old time fashion and run the mill and tend the gardens like the farm was run from the early days. I definitely recommend checking it out, so cool.
Here are my favorite shots from the day. Let me just preface this by saying that it was one of the wettest, hottest, and mosquito infested days all summer. The models you see in the photos stuck it out for all of the participants...amazing, seriously!

Julie // Polk City Senior Session
I have known Julie for the majority of her life and have been able to watch her grow into a gorgeous young woman. She is a shy country girl with a sassy side that I am sure you can see in the photos here. I had a fantastic time taking her picture and getting a tour of her parents ranch. Talk about an experience! Take a young lady, throw in a beautiful landscape, some curious cows, and a nosy gator, and you have yourself a very fun session!
